Caring for jewelry...

The proper way to put on a cuff bracelet...

Cuff bracelets are a great choice because the opening allows for a good fit on different size wrists, but it's important to know how to put it on properly! You don't want to repeatedly bend the silver by opening and closing your bracelet. This causes something called "work hardening", and over time will make the metal brittle and could cause it to snap at the stressed areas. To avoid this, find the soft part on the inside of your forearm (usually 2-3 inches up from your wrist bone), hold the cuff like a "C" and press the bottom part of the "C" into that soft area and roll the cuff around your wrist. From there you can adjust the cuff slightly to your desired fit. If you remove the cuff the same way you put it on, you shouldn't have to adjust again.

Caring for your leather jewelry...

Leather jewelry can last a long time if properly maintained, but it is not waterproof and I cannot guarantee your jewelry if you wear it when bathing or swimming. Although getting it wet occasionally won't immediately damage it, keep in mind that repeated exposure to water and chemicals (i.e. soap, chlorine, saltwater etc.) will dry it out, and contribute to it's deterioration over time. Please avoid the leather coming into contact with oil, fragrances, aerosols, etc. as they may lead to discoloration and damage as well.
